Thinking of buying a T series laptop

I bought a Vaio FS a few months ago, and my father was impressed with the quality that he is now considering buying for himself so I sugested that instead of him buying one the same as mine that he bought me a T series, since I walk around alot with the FS and it's a bit big sometimes it's a straing.

Do you think the current models and worth it, or should I perhaps wait for a T3 model?

K series?

Don't you mean S, B or the unreleased (out of Japan) Y?

Oh sorry, I just saw the K series one. Well, first of all it's a Celeron or P4 processor. Secondly, it's been discontinued, which means that the chances for more updates are very very slim.

The T series has been quite popular and is more likely to be patched or upgraded in the future and it can last for over 5 hours on the battery alone, without compromising weight or space.

Basically those are my reasons... plus the K looks a bit uglier, not that it's the most important factor, but it also matters to me when buying anything.

If you can wait for the T3 and the specs suit your needs then go for it
