I am in Switzerland and bought a new Sony Vaio laptop (model number SVE171G11M if it helps) running Windows 8 (regular, not Pro). Whenever I run the Vaio Update software, I get about halfway through downloading the updates and it says 'Wait a while and try again later' or something along those lines. Also, whenever I download the Bios and click Install, I run the Firmware Update Tool manually, click Update and I get the message: 'WBFLASH: Not enough files to update'.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

My trick is to manually choose the updates one at the time leaving the failing one(s) untouched. The problem with those failing downloads just disapperas. Don't know why but my theory is they are outdated and overwritten by a newer update. When the never update is installed the older will disappear in a list of available updates.
