unresponsive keys periodically

hi,

on and off im having trouble with some keys sticking.

it happens in windows XP notepad, Word and emails.

the keys affected are left shift, p, end, 1, 5, 7, 9 and back delete.

i havent spilt any liquid or crumbs on the laptop which is a vaio

VGN-NS0E.

does anyone have the same problem or any idea how to fix it please?

Hi lorniec,

There is little you can do apart try cleaning under the keys with compressed air (commercially available as 'Air Duster').

The chances are that you have a hardware fault with the keyboard or cabling.

hi rich,

it cant be debris because if i hit Fn Scr lock it solves the problem for about 10 minutes but it comes back again.

if i hit the key often it eventually types.
