Hi,
I've got a XL 301 and I want to disable the tapping on the touchpad of the remote keyboard.
The driver for the remote keyboard is from microsoft and the settings under system controls - mice doesn't offer me a function to disable tapping...
Thx for your help!
Regards,
René
Hi René
welcome to Club Vaio..
I'm not sure if the instructions below will work on the XL series..
Press the windows key+R to open the Run box type C:\Program Files\Sony\Setting Utility Series\VCCPointingDevice.exe
Click Continue on the User Account Control window.
In the Built in pointing device window you have the option to either enable or disable your touchpad..
Hi Thalamus,
thank you for your answer but I only want to disable the tapping (clicking) function on the touchpad.
By the way the VCCPointingDevice.exe isn't on my xl 301.
Regards,
René
I'm also interested in a solution for this.
There must be some way to change the double tap timing.
Tim.
Hi
Is there not an option to disable tapping in the mouse properties..
I have the same problem with a VGX-TP1 wireless keyboard. The mouse properties are for a bog standard wheel mouse. Sony support has not offered a solution. I'm not sure if the PC can talk back to the mouse pad in the same way that it can on a portable PC so maybe mouse properties couldn't do anything anyway. Perhaps a specific key combination on the keyboard would disable the tapping function?
There is at least one other post with the same problem. If this was like any other forum in the world and had a search function perhaps we would find lots more. Is this a way of Sony hoping to bury problems?
