Bought 5 days ago and have spent an absurd amount of time working my way around Sony Updates and Windows Updates, during which process you are either asked to or the computer automatically restarts, except mine doesn't. The backlit keyboard is on, but the screen is black, with no power whatsoever. Waited 5, 10, 30 minutes and overnight, without any change in screen resolution, nor power. Have amended all power settings to 'do not switch off' and yet on each occassion the Laptop fails to restart, forcing me to start up manually. Interestingly, the yellow light is often flickering indicating that there is something occurring, but the screen fails to kick into action.
Any ideas on how to solve this without taking it back to the shop?
