Hi, I have recently bought a 512MB DDR SDRAM PC2700 333SO DIMM memory module, compatible with my vaio laptop.
One such module already exists, but when I install the other, the laptop will not boot, it gets so far the welcome screen then it reboots itself.
Either one of the memory modules work individually but not when they are both installed.
I egt this error message when i boot up with just one card:
STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE DRIVER (Q293078)
i updated the video driver and all's well.
Actually, the driver only made it work for a while, then the computer crashed and the same problem!!! so infuriating.
Go to Crucial and see if you needed to replace all of your RAM modules not just add to your existing RAM. Crucial
