When I turn my VGN-FZ21S on, Vista Home Premium doesnt start, there is just a black screen there please help !
Hi eViL_KeNiVeL and welcome.
Does it make any noises?
Do any of the lights come on?
Any signs of life at all?

I turn my laptop on then it has the selection for either repair function or run vista normally. When I select either I get the loading screen for about 5-10 mins, then it goes to a black screen. The only lights on it are the power (green) and the battery light (constant orange).
I also tried safe mode but it just gets stuck after a while.
I've only had the thing for about 2 weeks and its already broken...
Just a minute ago I tried restarting it again and for half a second i saw the blue screen then the laptop restarted itself.
My friend thinks that this is caused by a recent BIOS update is this true?
On your next boot up tap F1 and enter the setup menu and then F8 to enter the advanced menu and down arrow to scroll down to the last known good configaration.
If that doesnt work then on bootup start recovery by tapping F8 and several diaglogue commitments into the recovery process the recovery menu will ask you if you want to save your files and documents to a DVD or external hard drive in the right hand side pane showing the contents of both hard drives. Grab and save to DVD (whatever)the obvious My documents and favorites and do a system recovery. Another way but less likely to work is using a Bios recovery by using an .iso version on CD of the Vaio preinstalled drivers and bios update from Vaio Link support and changing the order of bootup by tapping F2 on start up to optical drive first but that is dependant on how damaged your bios is and I was given a hard time for even suggesting this but it worked for me
Im having about the same problem.
I didnt use my pc for a week or 2 and when I did I started getting blue screens. Switched to the power saving mode and that worked for a while but then that started getting blue screens as well.
I reinstalled the whole thing with Vista home. Worked fine. Then it tells me "windows updater needs you to reboot" since it just downloaded the update or whatever. I ignore it and all is fine. Im done doing whatever and reboot.
Once again blue screens all over.
My guess its the vista update. How can that be fixed ??
I get this 0x00000000008 kinda crash.
