Minidisc Drive
I have the RX405 desktop, and noticed that the 403 (I think) came with a built in minidisc drive for direct recording. Does anyone know where I could get one to fit into my machine? I would really like one, but the Sony parts (US only it would seem) have never heard of this as it is just in the UK models.
Pain really but if anyone knows where I could get one I'd be very grateful

I don't think you can buy them seperately.

Do you have to have an internal one?
If not have you considered Sony Net MD players/ recorders?

It would be nice to have an internal one, it would remove cable mess (of which there is more than enough already) and I already have an MD player, but as my other recorder broke, I have no way of recording MDs and the Net MD players are way to overpriced.

There is no option to buy them seperately.
Only the RX403N, RX413N and the Sony NV-Series Notebooks have the NetMD bay unit.
An external NetMD player is the only solution, except of course, selling your system and buying one with this feature
