DW-D56A DVD-RW Drive Problem
Hello, I own a Vaio FS115z with a DW-D56A DVD drive. It worked perfectly, until I decided to use the flash update tool Sony had for download and now I can't burn DVDs without closing them, in other words, DVDs end up useless after being burned once.
The current version is PFS2-6, is there any way to revert it back, a tool or something?

I don't know. But I'm sure that you need the old Firmware.
But first, I would download the Firmware from VAIO-Link. Then reinstall it again.

If it not work, then you should contact your reseller for a repair within warranty.

I would send them an e-mail, if their service was up...
I'm getting a really bad impression of Sony for my first time buying one of their laptops.

I can't register on e-Support, I get their e-mail saying that I need to click a link to finish, but the link doesn't have an href it just has a:
this keeps getting worse by the day...
