Just wondered if this model should be able to record on to a USB Memory Stick.

After plugging the first one in the TV told me 16 Gig was too small, so I got a 128 Gig.

The TV registers the stick but wont let me record anything when I press record on the remote.

It keeps asking me if I want to register the device.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Hi @StuartB4, welcome to the Sony Community.

Have a look at this Help Guide article, which has all the info you need. Just remember to format your drive to FAT32.

Thanks Mick but I've already been through all I can find on the subject.

That's why I thought I'd ask here.

The TV still keeps asking if I want to register the device, even after it's gone through it.

When you say format to Fat 32 do you mean on a PC / Laptop, or should there be an option to do it on the TV?

If it's the former then I will give it a try.

If it's the latter then it's not appearing on the TV.

Somehow the TV has ruined the memory stick.

It worked perfectly well in a PC, but after the TV kept trying to register it I can't even access it on a PC anymore.

It shows up on the PC with a removable drive icon and thinks it's a drive with removable media.

If I try to access it to format it windows refuses saying there is no media in the drive.

Looks like I need a new memory stick now.
