Scrappage Scheme

Hi there

Can anyone tell me if the £150 scrappage scheme is still running?

I am about to trade in my old t.v for a new one.

If the scheme is running does it only apply to Bravia range or a particular size of t.v?

Not at the moment I'm afraid - some dealers might be running their own scheme, but there is nothing being run centrally as far as I know.

Worth noting the Best Buy I think recycle your old TV for free if you buy a replacement one for them, so if you have a big old CRT TV which is super heavy, its saves a load of grief disposing of it yourself..

Sony may not be running a scrappage scheme at the moment..

However as retailers are desperate for your £'s you have nothing to lose in asking the staff in your local Sony Centre, for example, if they'll give you some money off in return for your old TV, after all they are responsible for setting their own prices..:smileywink:
