Not displaying Blu-Ray BDP-350 on KDL-32EX403 TV

Hello everyone!

I've spent hours fiddling with settings on my Sony Blu-Ray BDP-350, we have had it in the living room working fine on a Samsung TV. I've gone to put it in my sons room as we no longer use it in there. The TV I'm now trying to get it to connect to is a Sony KDL-32EX403, I'm having no luck. No matter what I seem to do nothing displays on the TV. I've been changing one setting at a time and swapping the cable from my Samsung TV to the Sony one that's currently sat beside it but nothing I do seems to work. The most I've had is on the input setting eg. HDMI 1 it will say BD (Player 1) I've updated the software to the latest version. I have no idea what to try next. Any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you.

Hi ConnorB93,

Welcome to the community.

I'll see if I can find this out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.

Thanks,

Pascale

Hi Pascale,

Thank you for looking into that for me. I'm hoping there is a way to solve it 😊

Thanks,

Hi Connor,

Have you tried resetting your TV to factory settings?

Sorry for the slow reply, my daughter was born unexpectedly early and I completely forgot about all of this until now. I've just tried resetting the TV but that has not resolved anything.

Perhaps it is a good idea to try a reset of the reader, page 53:

Thanks a lot for your suggestion, I've just plugged it into the other TV that it was working on before. I reset all the settings as it showed in the manual that you kindly shared the link to. Unfortunately there's still nothing. I still

Posted that before I'd finished! 😂

*I'm still baffled how I can get it to work on a Samsung TV but not a Sony one of the same age.

Thanks again!

Try checking on both if Control for HDMI is On or Off, then choose the other option, On if Off or Off if On.

Thanks Manolo, I have just tried that too. Still no luck.
