I have an LG oled55c7v tv and a skyQ 2tb box. Connected through tv arc.
when I turn off units using the sky remote all shut down. The sound bar then restarts as does the tv. Spoke to Sony who told me to switch off hdmi control and this would solve the problem of restart.
it did but now when I switch off the sky box and the tv go into standby but the sound bar has to be put into standby using Sony remote. Same on switching on sky and tv come on but have to manually switch on sound bar from Sony remote.
Has anyone an answer as to how I get soundbar linked to sky remote. I have it set up in sky control menu but soundbar doesn’t see it when hdmi control is off.
Thanks.
Sorry. Heading should read hdmi issue.
First posting so don’t know how heading changed.

Hi @clarkie1947
I have this setup with HDMI Control switched on, on everything. Sky Q 2TB -> HT-ZF9 -> KD-55XE9305. The HT-ZF9's volume is controlled by the TV using Sync. The Sky Q remote is paired to the TV only. I don't know how your LG TV works.
To switch everything on I simply press Power on the Sky Q Remote. The Sky Q box switches on the TV and the TV switches on the HT-ZF9. (Note I have Standby Through set to Auto on the HT-ZF9). Turning everything off requires two actions on the Sky Q remote. A quick press to turn off the Sky Q box and a long press (approx 3 seconds) to turn off the TV which switches off the HT-ZF9.
