no, it does not have freeview HD.

No unfortunately not - it doesn't have the DVB-T2 tuner necessary.

You could always look at a Set top box or a PVR if you didn't want to replace the TV...but maybe its a good opportunity for an upgrade

I would be wary of Freesat or certainly paying extra for anything Freesat. The platform isn't really developing and doesn't offer anything extra of any note. There are only a couple of manufacturers making Freesat hardware now as far as I know.

Perhaps I'll just stick with what I've got for the smallish amount of TV I watch. I obviously jumped the gun when I purchased this set. Thanks for your 2c
