3D movies

Well i picked up a copy of Drive Angry for £13.99 and thought that was cheap, played it for 5 minutes last night before i decided i'd had enough!, my eyes were hurting, the whole thing looked dreadful and was like watching a flourescent tube giving out, the flickering was the worst thing ever!, perhaps thats why the movie is so cheap, i dont know. any thoughts anyone?

Maybe worth announcing we'll have a 3D BRAVIA Internet Video Channel going live in the next couple of weeks. Obviously only works if you have a 3D TV, Glasses and a transmiter - but should give you a bunch more free test content to look at and sample.

Cheers

Hi Catmambo,

i  agree thats a good move and nice to see Sony's own showing an interest in the progress of 3D, its a shame that the thread on 3D is not moving very much, i would have thought by now that it would have a foothold but does not seem to be the case.

I agree it is a shame that their hasn't been much interest in this thread but unfortunately there does not seem to be an active community on these forums like their used to be in days of old, most people post support/tech questions, but hopefully as new users join this may change.

So here's hoping..

Hi Thalamus,

well not for the want of trying, but i try to generate chat by encouraging people to talk about their 3D film experience but it seems that most are sitting back to see if it fails again or not, i do not feel that its being promoted enough, making the sets and players is one thing but more needs to be done to promote it, perhaps you guys there can promote it more on the forums somehow.

Hi Bravia55HX923,

I don't think people in the Question & Answers forum are waiting for 3D to fail I just don't think that they visit the forum on a regular basis to read others post..:smileysad:

Lets hope there is more converstations when the 3D BRAVIA Internet Video Channel goes live, but thanks for your input I'll certainly pass you comments on..:smileyhappy:

In the meantime I guess you've already visited the Sony 3D community section but if not here's a link - Sony 3D

Hi all,
well I'm surprised by the comments on 'Drive Angry'. This was the first film I saw in 3D at home (and may I add the only of the one or two 3D films available to rent at my local Blockbuster). I thought the effects were great, there was very little double imaging/ghosting almost unnoticable in fact especially in comparison to my experience with 3D games. The film itself is pretty terrible of course but then it is a Nic Cage movie !

Personally I can't wait for the 3D-blue ray release of the Tin Tin movie ! I'm hoping from then onwards 3D home cinema will really start to kick off !
