Rooting "might" void your warranty. I'm not responsible if anything happen to your phone (nothing should go wrong,, if something do go wrong, just repeat the whole process).

If you've installed Fastboot then on your C: drive there will be a folder called Fastboot inside this folder will be another folder called usb_driver now open your device manager and connect your phone in Fastboot mode and look for a driver issue normally denoted by a yellow mark - Right click this and choose update driver and choose the manual method and direct it to the folder mentioned above to update and install the correct driver - once done hopefully the yellow mark will go and you can then carry on to unlock your Bootloader

Failing that I can offer assistance via Remote networking using Teamviewer

The Xperia U SI list is NO LONGER available ! And the thread is obviously closed.

So HOW can we know where and if there will be (one day, before the end of the world) an ICS update, for whom stil NOT have the update available ?

Must we consider Sony abandon the Xperia U and there are only luky customers who could have the ICS update ?

There is NO WAY we flash ourselves the phone, in which case we lost guarantee.

as you can read on the warranty part of the thread it doesn't void the warranty, it "could"

Ok, i've done it.

But ICS is bugy. WiFi has lot of issues. For me, after a long time of use, it is impossible to switch of the wifi. I must power off the phone Angry_Face

Is there still no new ICS or JB update list for the Xperia U ? Since they deleted the list, we can't know when our phones will be updated. As i already said, some people have had chance to be updated and some others no (in same country). This is NOT fair.

I want a real Android 4 update because the one i used lack lot of functionalities and is not very stable.

Lol, and there is no flash support when 2.3 is flash supported !

Honestly I don`t know why a lot of people faces so many problems with the new ICS, mine works perfectly but that`s not the the main reason of my post. I want to know if Sony will upgrade the OS from ICS to Jelly Bean and when this will be available.
