Bug in the Sony Ericsson Elm firmware.

I recently bought this phone (last firmware). I found the following errors in the sms management saved in the sim:

  1. My sim card was saved 20 sms (full), but the phone only shows 3 sms in "saved messages" from the sim. (In other phone works well).
  2. In Messages > Manage messages doesn't appear the "in SIM" tab.
  3. When I try to save a sms from the phone memory to the sim appear the error message Full SIM (it's correct the SIM is full), then it propose me delete messages from the sim. I accept and then appear  the SIM tab in the "manage messages" section (that no appeared in 2.), but only show 3 sms again.
  4. If I detele all the sms from the sim with other phone, the elm only allow save 3 sms in the sim. Then it say that sim is full.
  5. In the point 3. I only can delete the 3 sms showed. Then if I put the sim card on other phone, it show the remaining sms's.

One point more: If I connect the phone (Elm) to the PC (with Sony Ericsson PC Suite) I can see all the sms's on the SIM.

I contacted with Sony Ericsson support, they told me that run an upgrade. I dit it, same result. Then they said me that expose this bug here, in talk.sonyericsson.com.

Any solution?

Sorry for my English.

Try phone repair with PC suite and failing that, a master reset.

Thanks Dr_Chris, now I can see and save up to 20 sms on the SIM. But I still don't understand why the SIM tab doesn't appear in "Messages" > "Manage messages" ?, and it only appears when the sim is full and you try to save one more sms, then the phone ask if you want to delete some sms. When you accept, then there is SIM tab.

Main menu--Messaging--Messages--Saved messages: These are your SIM messages and from here you can view and delete them. When you opt to save a message, it means to save it to the SIM card. The Manage messages option is to move messages between the phone memory and memory card, but not the SIM card.
