Sony DAV-DZ740

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me if a DAV-DZ740 will read files on a larger external hard drive? The on-line spec's say it will reaf flash drives but does not state the capacity limit of the storage device?

Hi,

it certainly says it can play mp3 files and DivX and MPEG4 movie files, just plug it in like you normally would and see if it picks it up, the only exception i see is whether the drive needs formatting to FAT32 like it does for tv's, just plug it in and see if it see's the files first thats the best way.

The receiver says my Buffalo 500Gb external drive isn't supported, is there any way around this? Would appreciate any advice you can offer...

I just reformatted the drive to FAT32 but no joy....
