Protect Mode on STR-KS1300

Hello to Everybody :smileygrin:

Playing on my PS3 last night when suddenly the AMP showed up 'Protect'. Used to this happening when speaker wires are touching I straight away went to look for the problem but after disconnecting all the wires and still having the same problem I thought it might of overheated or something as the PS3 sits right ontop of it so left it to cool down over night but after going to it this morning and having nothing plugged into it, its still showing 'Protect' which has left me to beleive its all internal

Now with it being 2-3ish years old and having been sent back for repair before, is there anything Sony can do or will they just send me to get it repaired at a centre or privately? Don't they offer a service where for such amount they will take the old one away and give you a refurb - Like they do with PS3's?
