I've a BDP-S370 which seems to be randomly stalling on playback of web content, particularly iPlayer. Interestingly cBeebies programmes seem to be unaffected and BBC 2 seems to have the most issues but this may just be a red herring. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm with ISP Zen.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
ISP = BT Infinity
Speed = > 13mbs
All channels affected including CBeebies which was dire on Friday night.
No other service knowingly affected.
I had also used a PC and had iPlayer HD work consistently. I'm not happy about this as it was the primary reason that I bought this piece of kit.

Having a similar problem on my Sony BDV-E670W.
ISP = Sky
Speed upto 20Mb download (Connected direct to the router via ethernet cable)
A number of channels seem to be affected by this issue including Sky News
P/S No issue via Laptop

Same problem for me on a BDV-E370. iplayer gets most of the way through a programme fine (no stopping to buffer at any point) but then stalls and i end up having to stop the programme, re-start it and fast-forward to where it stopped (which can take several attempts to work).
Note - no such issues for iplayer on PC also using similar wifi connection.
Thanks - I've escalated to engineering so we can try and understand the problem better and see if there is a solution..
And another one...
A further note: this seems to have started happening during the Christmas/New Year holiday week. Prior to that I could watch BBC HD streaming without breaks or buffering. Now, while a little better recently, HD is still pretty bad and even 'High Quality' SD is prone to buffering issues - almost like a freezing of the stream coming in. It is always fixed by stopping the stream, going back to the programme in iPlayer and starting again, fast forwarding to (roughly) the same place where it stopped.
I'm not entirely sure it's not a BBC problem but since others are reporting that their PC's etc are working, maybe it is just the Sony bluray player.
Otherwise, bloody good service this. All we need is it to work all the time and to add iTV & Ch4

Interesting: I noticed it start shortly after Christmas too. This can't be a coincidence!
There haven't been any Sony firmware updates since November though, right? One strange thing I noticed is that the player went through the setup procedure when I turned it on once, about a couple of weeks ago.
My S370 has started stalling this week. Hope it can get sorted as iPlayer was the main reason I got this player!
As i said, worked fine up to this week. Not changed anything, or updated.
Cheers
My S370 Blu Ray player keeps stalling when I playback via iPlayer. Says it has buffered well sometimes but still stalls for some reson.
I've a BDP-S370 too and can confirm the same problems with lovefilm and iplayer
Normaly stalls after 10 minutes and the only way out is either to restart machine or sometimes back to menu
I have 20 meg broadband with fast.co.uk no probelms with i-player on pc
Do Sony read these forums?
Hi
I am afraid I am experiencing the buffering on Iplayer this week on my S370. I never have any issues normally.
The programme generally freezes after 5 to 10 minutes and I have to return to get out of the programme.
Looking at the BBC iplayer site, I'm not sure where the problem sits.
It's either BBC or Sony - but Iplayer has been having some streaming issues accrding to their own message board - so the issue could be there?
If the Sony engineers could investigate this for us and I suspect others like us, it would be appreciated.
It's a great piece of kit - so we all get frustrated when something is amiss.
Any update would be appreciated.
