Hi All.
I bought a new player above, and connected it up. Took the Ethernet connection from my Sony Bravia smart TV, and connected that. The player refused pont blank to connect to the net. Confirm Ethernet functional on my TV, and PVR, so not that.
Took the player up to my computer room, where my Vigin Cable modem (20Mb) sits, and using my kitchen TV, connected it directly to the modem. Rebooted modem, and turned the player on. Instant connection to the internet. Updated the software whilst I was there, and checked iPlayer etc all working. Fine.
Changed connection to my router, only 1 metre of lead away, and it STILL refuses to connect to the internet.
It seems I am not the only one experiencing these problems. Has anyone identified the cause yet please?
How do you send it back as faulty, when it connects to the internet via the modem? And what use is it, when it wants the modem all to itself?
Very frustrating!
