Purchased the Sony Cybershot TX200V (PAL) a few weeks ago. I found
there is a problem with the video. Whenever the video is shot under
dimly lit condition, the video is shaky/jittery during panning or if
the object is moving. If I point the camera to a brighter area, the
video suddenly becomes smooth. Its very annoying watching a video
sometimes smooth and sometimes shaky.
I took some photos during video recording to see what the shutter
speeds were during video recording. I found that, the shutter speed is
1/50s when the video is smooth and 1/25s when the video is
shaky/jittery.
I have the TX9 bought a few years ago and the video is all smooth from
bright to dim area. No such shaky/jittery problem at all.
I hope Sony will look into the problem and solve it with a firmware
update.

Hello again
As far as I am aware, the shutter speed is set automatically by the camera in video mode which means that if the camera interprets the need to adjust it, the user has no overriding control over how it is set up. Unfortunately, the NEX models are generally far more advanced which is why this doesn't seem to be an issue but I can understand that it must be annoying for you.
Thanks,
Simon
Hello juskoko - Welcome to the Sony Forums
With the TX200V, there are a number of video shooting modes available that may increase performance in lower light situations and these are described on this page of the manual:
In particular, there is a 'High Sensitivity' mode which may give you improved results in lower light conditions.
Please let me know how you get on,
Simon

Thanks Simon:smileyhappy:
I have tried the 'High Sensitivity' mode but with very little improvement on the problem I mentioned.
I have looked at other Sony cameras such as the NEX series and found no such a problem in video. The shutter speed will keep at 1/50s (PAL) even in low light, so no shaky/jittery video.
I am sure the problem with TX200V is that it lowers the shutter speed to 1/25s in low light that causes the shakiness.
Best Regards
