I have a Sony Bravia Android TV and ave been able to cast from my android Tablet and mobile successfully, this includong films etc.
All of a sudden this has stopped working.. It comes up on the all cast list, connects but then comes up with just a black screen no matter what I do.
Ihave tried a few different thing's but got nowhere!
Anyone have any aid to this at all?

Hi.
I had the same problem for sometimes but finally today i found out that my tv was connected to my 5G wifi but my phone was connected to my my 2.4 wifi.
As soon as i put both on the same wifi.
It worked.
Check it out.
It might be the same problem like mine.

Hi there
I am unsure on what things you have tried, so forgive me if you have done these.
First thing to try is a soft reboot of the TV - Press and hold the power button on the remote control for more than 6 seconds and the TV should reboot itself.
Also, try the following:
- Goto the Google Play Store
- Go into the "My Apps" section and see if there is any updates
- Once updated (if needed) exit the Google Play Store, and goto the TVs Settings area
- Goto Storage and Reset > Storage > Apps > Running Apps > Google Cast Receiver
- Clear Cache and Clear Data
Cheers

Hi there
As the above didnt work, I guess we go back to the two basic first steps.
- Ensure that your TV has the latest firmware installed
- Factory reset the TV - see instructions HERE
See how that goes
Cheers

Hi! I created this account to inform others of the solution I found today.
After the most recent update to my TV, if I attempted to cast from my android phone (tv showed up as a device to cast to) nothing would happen. I could press the cast button and instead of it connecting, it would seem as though the button was doing nothing at all.
Solution:
- On the supplied IR remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- Under the TV category, select App.
- Under the App category, select System app.
- Under the System app category, select Google Cast Receiver or Chromecast built-in.
- Clear data
- Uninstall updates
This worked for me. I hope it works for others as well. Good luck!
