TV speakers and Playbar
I’m struggling to resolve a problem, hope someone here can help!
I’ve got a KD-49G83xx linked to a Sonos Playbar via an optical lead as the Playbar has no hdmi input. I turn off the TV speakers and set to audio output, this works and everything works as it should. About half an hour later the TV speakers activate themselves again. How do I permanently deactivate them??? Any thoughts gratefully received!!

Hi Matt,
Welcome to the community.
I'll see if I can track down an answer. Maybe someone else in the community has an idea in the meantime.
Thanks,
Pascale

Thanks Pascale, I noticed today that it’s my Sony Blu-ray player that is going into standby mode which seems to trigger the tv speakers to reactivate. My TV obviously thinks the Blu-ray is the external audio device rather than the Playbar. So semi solved, but I can’t have the Blu-ray connected which is a pain.

Hi Matt2662,
What's the model number of the connected Blu Ray player?
Cheers,
