I'm a bit confused. I can't seem to find a review for the X8005C, only for the X810C in the US. Is it the same model? In the UK there's only the 49" and 55" whereas in the US there's 55" and 65". What's the difference?
Cheers
No one?
I have not yet come across an English review for this. I have been told that although the X80C model series is meant to be the same as the X810C, there are infact differences, such as refresh rate and lag.
Yeah, well that refresh rate gimmick is just a marketing tool, in fact, if i'm not mistaking, rtings reviews found out that Sony's so called 940Hz refresh rate on some models is in fact 240 real Hz. So basically, it's the same model with lower refresh rate? Same panel?
I believe it's a VA panel, if that's what you're asking ?
Hi there
There are very little reviews of this TV due to the fact that this is a rather new model, only released in September.
There are a couple reviews in another language, which you need translate on:

In that vsbee link, am I correct in assuming that "update frequency" refers to refresh rate ?

Thanks for the replies. That's why I asked in the first place. I couldn't find any review for this model - I usually check rtings.com for reviews (they always review the latest tv sets), but they reviewed the X810. Judging by the X810C reviews, the TV is absolutely fantastic.
So I tried asking Sony directly through their live chat support. The first guy started listing the specs for the X810 (the resolution, inputs), and in the end he couldn't provide a clear answer so I tried contacting another one. The other guy told me that it's the same TV and I quote: "yes, same. It's great picture overall". Erm, ok Sony..
