Screen vertical striping

Hello, 

I have owned this tv for a few years now with no issues at all. While the tv was on this afternoon vertical stripes started to appear. Initially it temporarily sorted itself, but now that is all that appears, the sound still works.

 Any idea what that cause is? Any help is much appreciated.

I am sorry ....take it as an opportunity to change your LCD (that was great) for an OLED
