Does anyone know if Sony included support for timeshift functionality (pausing live TV) with their Android 9.0 release? I see Google support it in Android TV.
My guess is it's more of an OS feature than model-specific, however, for info, my model is XG9005.
This feature has been added to Google's TIF (Tuner Input Framework) and Live Channels app in Android TV 6 Marshmallow. Sony's TV app is based on an older fork of Live Channels. Plus the TV input service provided by Sony does not implement the TIF APIs for Timeshifting.
