Advice needed on KD-55 AF8 upgrade

Decided to upgrade my KD-55 AF8 due to my "image retention" problem but can't decide what model to choose.

Looked at the spec for the XR-55 A80 and compared it to the XR-55 A90 and the only difference I could see was the Centre Speaker mode on the A90;  don't think it's worth paying an extra grand for that facility.

Can anyone recommend what model I should be looking at!

It’s worth knowing that on the RTINGS link, you can change either (or both!) of the TV models being compared, so you could put in the LG C1 or G1, say, or a comparable Samsung, to ensure you aren’t missing out by staying with Sony.

Also, budget for a Roku Express 4K with Sony or Samsung, as I think Freeview are playing hardball this year, and it’s Freeview Play, as on the LGs, or nothing, as on Sony and Samsung at the moment. However long the moment is going to be; it’s August now, and so far nothing.

Thank you very much for your invaluable advice, I compared the A80J with the A90J and I certainly can see the difference between the two.

Ran a comparison between the A90J and the Panasonic JZ 2000

and discovered there is not a lot between their performances.

Got to say I was very impressed with the specs for the LG G1 also,

so now I've got to make a big decision...
