Sony Wireless Problems

Hi, I've had my lovely vaio laptop for about a month now. The wireless has suddenly stopped working. No matter what I do, I can't get it to work. The wireless switch is on and I have tried to enable the connection but I'm not getting anywhere with it.
It won't actually let me enable it and the wireless LED next to the switch wont come on.

hey,

i had sort of the same problem, my wifi disappeared suddenly and i was not able to get it back. the small wifi sign connected to the vaio smart network was gone also. i reinstalled the whole computer via the recovery function coming along with the laptop as a partition hided in the system. after taht everything was working well again and i did not encountered any problems with the wifi again
