PROBLEMS WITH VGN-CR21Z RUNNING WINXP

Hi everyone,

The hard drive on my VGN-CR21Z/R laptop died out last week. Like a total idiot, I hadn't made a recovery disc and so had to install an old copy of Windows XP I had lying around. I used the Sony support site to get some of the drivers, so a lot of things work fine, but I'm still having a few problems:

- Pushing Fn+F5/6 won't affect the brightness of the screen
- The volume hotkeys above the keyboard won't work, and neither will the camera one (Presumably because there's no Camera Capture?)
- There's none of the vista-style battery indicators (Again, guessing this is because there's none of the Vaio utilities)

Is there any way to fix these problems? Curiously, when I ran Ubuntu Linux from a CD on here, the volume controls worked fine, so I'm sure there must be a way to at least fix these...

Thanks to anyone who can help
