HELP! XP & LINUX DRIVERS FOR VGN-FE41S REQUIRED

Hi all,

I have a Vaio VGN-FE41S. It came with Vista preloaded. However, after a harddisk crash I had to reformat the harddisk & install XP on it (as I do not have a backup copy of Vista).

Anyways, when I come to download the drivers from the Sony website they seem to only be available for Vista. Please can someone advise me on how / where I can get the same drivers for XP?

Also, I would like to put a Linux partition on there too - as I have just acquired a copy of Ubuntu. So if you know how / where I can get the Linux equivalent drivers too, I would be most grateful.

Many thanks,

J

Hi J and welcome.

You need to download and install the Original Drivers Package and Original Utilities Package for the VGN-FE31Z. The FE31Z uses the same devices as yours but was sold with XP installed.

You will also need all the updates for the FE31Z here:-
