My Xperia Z3 sreen exploded whilst on the side with NO IMPACT or Fall. I had a glass protetion cover on my phone & you could see that the breakage had come from UNDER the glass cover. I contacted Sony thinking that as the glass cover was intact Sony would repair or replace my damaged phone under warranty as it is only 4 months old. But no how wrong can one be, silly me. Sony claim my phone has been damaged due to an impact (NOT TRUE). So it is not covered by warranty, & I would need to pay £134.09 to get it repaired. How many of us trusting SONY users are being fobbed off in this way????? This is an outrage & needs to be addressed.
:)))) I have the same problem with my z3, cracket it self while charging, I sent it to sony thought they would repair being under warranty (2 months old). I have never dropped it, no impact and they said is not a manufacturing fault. Silly me, I sould have gone through the insurer to replace it but I thought sony would do it. I paid £75 for the screen and is more than 2 weeks and a half and I haven't seen my phone back. I heard that that sony is going down on mobile phones section but this is not a way to gain the back from the loss on the market. Feel really sorry for sony, I bought all my life sony products but this is the end of it. My wife and two other friends have got the same problems with their z3's, so definetly is a manufacturing fault.
