Hi there!
Was at a phone shop earlier this afternoon afternoon and there I was comparing the new HTC One M8, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 and the Xperia Z1 side by side. For some reason I fell in love with the Z1. Why? It was just the right size (5" screen), its very light, build quality seem topnotch, audio quality (with my headphones) was near amazing, camera quality seem excellent and it was quite fluid and performance seem spot on.
But I want to ask about the curreent 4.4.2 update and other issues.
1. There seem to be no "Stop All" option as regards stopping all apps in thr multitasking button
2. Heard of intermittent wifi disconnections and this problem of wifi signal getting significantly weak even at a not-so distance
3. Camera placment is just wrong. You have a 99.99% chance you will cover it when taking a photo
4. Speaker sound still sounded muffled because of this wtaerproof thing.
Any comments please? Thnks.

That I have seen in a review,it is indeed a little different. What camera options are you using?
Hi there,
I have a problem with my phone: the blue light is blinking as if I had a message, but when I press the "on" button, it doesn't turn on anymore! I tried plugging it on my computer but it won't recognize it, and I tried to turn it off but even if I press the button for more then 10 seconds, it doesn't change a thing. I didn't put it under water, it didn't fall, but these last 3 days, the battery has been weaker than before.
Can you help me please?
Thank you
Try this:connect to wall socket, force shutdown:
After that, let it charge for 1 hour.Turn it on.
I tried to force it to shut down as it was possible to do with the Xperia Z, and it worked. Thanks for your reply, I keep the link if the same problem happens again.
Thank you so much for your help
Yes,there are two ways of forcing the phone to shut down.Either like it is told in the link,or like you know from the Z: power button+volume up.I am glad it works.
Hi all,
I am great fan of Sony, having a Xperia lineup of 10 devices starting from Xperia mini pro to Z1.
My phone Z1 just got ruined after 4.4 update. Its not only with me, but my other friends are also facing same issues.
Major problems after update are:
> OVERHEATING: Before update, my phone just heats up while playing Asphalt8. But now it heats up least while playing the game and mostly keep throwing heat while browsing, charging, whatsapp etc. And Warning message while using camera is a common practice.
> BATTERY LIFE: Earlier 1.5days was common, but now every minute in my hands, phone keeps draining battery one by one percent. Total life comes to 0.75 day. HALF from earlier.
> RAM USAGE: In 4.2.2 version (I have 2nd device also, which I didnt updated to 4.4) RAM usage is nearly 700-800mb, while now it starts from 900mb and by 2 days end it reaches 1.7gb usage. Only 250-270mb free. And thus Hang or Auto Resart.
> NETWORK ISSUES: Call dropping, inetrnet network disturbance and voice not clear issues have emerged after the update. Also a flaw in design not allows you to keep talking while holding phone between shoulder and ear without using hand.
SONY, you have developed a great device in terms of hardware, but please develop better softwares to run it properly.
Is there any way to rollback my device to 4.2.2 or Any NEW update on the way to fix these issues...?
The setting is on Manual, Backlight HDR, about 10pm in the evening with 5 people on the photo with a street lamp in the background.
Under those conditions are my settings correct? Or should i use Night shot?
You could use the night shot. However, the Exmor RS should do its job.I am not such a good photographer by the way.
The problem with Night Shot mode is you have to have a very steady hands in order to acheive a good photo. Anyway, i'll try again.
Now, another issue....and its about the Bluetooth.
Went to a PC World and i was trying 3 different bluetooth speakers. Now i know and can confirm that those 3 speakers are indeed working because there were people (with their iPhones and Galaxy S phones) who managed to link/sync/connect their phones with those said speakers at that time using bluetooth.
Before i tried connecting my Xperia Z1 to those speakers i made sure my Bluetooth is turned on (obviously), the speaker volume is turned up and my phone is set to be visible to other devices. Did i missed anything here?
So, when i actually tried connecting my phone to thiose speakers taking 50 seconds at least (which is not normal for a phone connecting to a device via bluetooth) a message kept saying "Could not connect to the device". I have virtually tried three times on each speaker and the same message appeared again. Went to the Walkman application and pressed Throw and again could not connect. Smoke has started to spew out of ear.
What should i do?
Beginning to get annoyed now.
And i don't want to even hear that the speakers are not compatible to my phone or vice versa because that is simply a stupid advice.
You do not have to take it on me,I am no developer and cannot change anything.I will not give you any further advice as you need to contact a staff member about this:
