Phone was working fine until the screen went dark. Phone was at ~65%, and I thought it strange.
Attempted to power on device, but unresponsive. Plugged in to charger, but no LEDs responding.
Device became extremely hot, so unplugged to allow to cool off for several hours.
Plugged device back in for approximately 2 hours, periodically checking for overheating, though it did not.
Attempted to power on again afterward with no success.
Attempted ALL of the following troubleshooting steps on the official Sony website (http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz5/faq/I-cannot-power-on-my-device/).
NOTHING has worked thus far.
I'm expecting Sony to take some accountability for allow such an inferior product to be distributed for resale.
There is no excuse for this. Why create a work of art WITHOUT substance? Sony makes the most beautiful electronics, but tends to fall short in quality assurance. Quite sad, really.
