Hi,
I bought my phone via Amazon from Sony web site July 2015. It was working fine till last week.
1. I cant swipe down notification bar . I google it and found out that it is only working in horizontal position now. You cant open notification bar any more in vertical.
2. I have ghost touch issue. Ghost touches comung from the top, notification bar (that I cant access any more ) . It opens settings and jumps all over (user profile, wifi settings, etc). During that time, I cant do anything, my screen is frozen.
I did factory reset, my protective glass screen (Sony) is clean. I am pretty sure that latest update caused the issue.
I am trying to get contact info for Sony about how to return my device because it is still on factory warranty.

Please, boot your device into safe mode as explained here. If this issue is not present in this mode, that indicates a third party app is causing the problem. In this case exit Safe Mode and then un-install any third party apps you don't need and clear the cache/data for the apps you want to keep. UPDATE: I called Support and got instructions for repair with PCC via desktop computer.
It DID NOT WORK!!!
Just like other users mentioned in their posts, only solution is send it back.
i am having same problem.ghost touches upper top section shows no response to touch..factory setting and safe mode didnt work...

That's exactly the problem of my z3 now...... And i dont know what to do... Any suggestions????
I had the same problem with Xperia Z1 and Z3 compact.
The problem is the screen is too sensitive, so what fixed this for me was putting a tempered glass screen protector. Now both my Sony's work just fine. Try it, maybe it will work for you.
