Messaging has stopped working

Hi @AvidEllis, sorry to hear about this.

I would recommend that you clear data for the Messaging application. This will not delete any messages, it will only reset the application data for the application.

To do that, go to Settings > Apps > Messaging > Storage > Clear data > OK.

Hi. Had already tried this after reading on forum. Tried again, Unfortunately no old messages re appeared. Any other suggestions? can I look for messaging files...? Thx

Now I'm abit confused. Can you access the Messaging application but you can't see previous conversations? I thought it was the application that wasn't working, sorry for the misunderstanding.

If you can't see old conversations, have you tried downloading another messaging applications and see if you can see them in that one? You can only restore only text messages from a backup if you have one made.
