I love the z3. But things like the walkman home and being unable to move, hide or organize photos is frustrating considering how great this phone is. I would like to either uninstall sony integrated apps and and use real ones. Or disable walkman home. There is also two photo viewers and im sick of picking one everything I open a photo. Neither photo viewer opens in a browsable format. Simply lays all photos from all folders out on screen. I don't understand where the idea that random sized unorganized tiles were somehow convenient or easy to use came from but walkman home is a garbage dump I like to avoid looking at. I blame windows 8's metro. It didn't work for them. Get rid of it. Conventional music browsing is what I want. And id prefer if that was an option. As well as foldered photo browsing so I don't have to hide my phone until I find the right photo. If you know what I mean. Someone please help me to do this. I would hate to have to switch to something else.

I know you are not a developer, hence those questions. You have option.

1. Install other apps and disable preloaded apps

2. Root your phone and uninstall preloaded apps

3. Flash a custom ROM

4. Contact Sony directly

5. Get an iPhone which doesn't allowed you to modify your phone as you please

Android it's not windows, you are beyond helpless, check my profile before you even suggest that I use an iPhone. Also, you can use something called Google and learn more about rooting, flashing etx instead of assuming.

Guaranteed way to get rid of the "bloat" on a sony.
Go to settings
Go to apps
Find "Walkman, album, movies, PlayStation" and disable all of them.
Now go to Google play.
Then find any of the 1000s of music, picture and movie players available with hundreds of different styles and layouts.
Install
Enjoy.

I already suggested that, custom ROMs, rooting, etc but he just doesn't understand Android and/or smartphones

If you don't know how to root or don't want to then use a program called Debloater to freeze the apps which will remove them from the apps draw

As i have mentioned, simply freezing or disabling the apps doesnt remove their data from the phones drive. From what i understand root access simply means that you can now use your phone. I dont want the apps "disabled" i want them gone for good or modified to function logically. There is no reason for anything to be permanently installed other than advertising and greed. But i paid for the phone. My point is there shouldnt need to be a process for rooting, it should simply not be locked out in the first place. No point whatsoever. Rooting is going to up my warranty. And disabling isnt going to clear uneccessary data. Android manufacturers simply need to stop trying to make stuff proprietary and locked. That is for Apple users to deal with. I paid for functionality and logic. And largely i got it. But this? It goes against all things intelligent.

Tell you what - Watch your language or I will ban you - If you don't understand how things work in a business world and advertising then walk this world with closed eyes - Your Tv channels are subsidised by adverts otherwise your bills would be higher - Mobile phones would be a lot more if there wasn't apps pre-installed - Sony has given you the means to root leaving the choice with you, you either accept this and root or don't and live with the apps or freeze them, Sony even has Google play edition phones which are Sony by name but free from these apps
