Since the update to Android 7.0 my battery is empty within 8 hours. I need to take a powerbank to whereever I go now, while the day before the update the battery lasted for about 24 hours.
I see that more people have the issue with Android Nougat and the Z5. Is there a workable solution at this moment?
Tried disabling Movie Creator ?
No, I disabled it now. I'll let you know what the results are. Thanks for the tip (y)
Get rid of McAfee for now, and recharge the phone to 100%, then clear caches, and also clear it with Volume Up + Power, while the device is on(until device vibrates and display turns off).
Then check how it is for the next 8 hours.
Reinstall McAfee, and then charge it to 100%, then check how the battery performs after another 8 hours
edit: this is what i'd do -
plug the phone in to a wall charger, then use volume up + power to get the device to turn off, wait for the charging battery to appear and start it's animation, then power on the device while it's still in the charger and charge it to 100%, then clear the caches, and use vol up + power
2nd edit: then go and disable any google services they turned back on during the upgrade if you don't use it.... like nearby and other junk like maps notifications
3rd edit: then go and take advantage of the 'new' (for you coming from android 6.0) features in data usage to disable any background data for any junk you don't want using background data for...
namely facebook. and then go and disable any google apps you don't use... like hangouts, and then restrict the background data for 'google instant apps' - if you're not going to use it and it appears - don't uninstall it - it'll just come back

further up the page are some battery graphs, but there's a link in the post there - where I first sort of said to go on a rampage disabling and restricting uneeded apps to increase battery life a year ago
@I have a half written guide that still needs formatting, I took it off the New User section because I got busy working on the Recovery @xda, but it walked through how to setup optimal battery life for the device by disabling and restricting apps for new out of box first boot scenarios
Sorry for the late reply.
In the end the solution seemd te be to deinstall McAfee Safe Wi-Fi. Although it did not show in the apps using the battery; after deistalling it, my phone now uses a 'normal' amount of power. Still I do not get the advantage of the powersaving that 7.x should offer, but it is now workable and therefore for me good enaugh
Any security or firewall causes extra battery usage
