What's your uplink speed? 10 Mbps should be enough to make the status bar tick at a rate that doesn't look like it's frozen...
depending on what you backup the total backup data set could be 5 MB to 150 MB +
Do a manual backup to SD card, then explore to
SDCARD/Android/data/SonyBnR
then check the total size, that should give you an idea of how long a backup should take given your network uplink speed
This happens because you're device storage is larger than the backup storage! So all you have to do is disable application backup and it'll work fine.
I have 250/100 mbps.....I will follow your step and see what it shows.
Two possible solutions using phone manual backup:
1. Selective backups (ex: unselect application)
2. Force quit as many unessential running apps including system then manual backup application. (not sure which app causing it)
This works for me at the moment, good luck!
