I recently purchased XZ1 Compact. Due to the fact that the tap to wake option is no longer present, the only option to wake the phone is via the power button. I have disabled fingerprint scanner, because to scan my finger everytime I just want to look at the time, would be a waste of time. I found that to wake the phone, power button does not work about 30% of the time when connected to charger. In fact after pressing the power button the phone freezes in a sleep state (even the blinking LED notification if present, stops blinking) if it was waiting for some process to finish. And only after holding the power button for several seconds, the phone goes directly to home screen (bypasses the lockscreen completely) and displays the "Power off" dialogue.
Conditions: you have to let the phone enter deep sleep (i.e. leave it on the charger for a minute or two without touching it).
I think this is a pretty big bug in the firmware, someone should look at it and fix it in the software update. Or just give us back the tap to wake feature - why did you take it away?
