Good day all,
Just recently I have been religiously charging my Xperia XZ at the same time at night and unplugging at the same time the next morning, but I still haven't seen the little crescent moon icon to tell me that this battery care thing is in action.
It is turned on in the setting.
Is there anyway I can reset the battery care system in some way so it will finally learn my charging habits?
Thanks in advance
Martin
There doesn't seem to be a setting but it'll be great if there was an option to manually set the time periods when we want this to be activated. I'll escalate this.
Oh cool thanks
When i first got the phone i didnt pay much attention to this feature, so in the first week, i charged it one day and got the message that battery care would charge my phone upto 90% and then the rest just before a silly time because i didnt do it regularly in the first week.
then i never saw it again.
its only recently i decided "right, i'm gonna plug it in at X oclock and unplug it at Y oclock" but it just wont give me that crescent moon icon
thanks again
Martin
I think it only works when you will turn automatically alarm clock for the morning (even then it will not always turn on as if you will be setting alarm for different times or setting few of them like me).
The feature needs an update definitely.
Total gimmick. I've never even tried to use it. With my past umpteen phones I have used a mechanical wall socket timer that works a treat. Cost me £3 from Asda.
Any news on this?
I have still been charging at the same time at night, and unplugging at the same time in the morning since the original post, but still hasn't learned 😢

Hi,
I had the same problem when I first bought the XZ. Decided to do a factory reset and the Battery Care was finally functioning, always enabling whenever I used to plug my phone in between 10pm and 11pm and would finish the charging process at exactly 7:10am EVERYDAY! Just note to plug your phone in at the same time everyday so as to not mess up the timings. After the factory reset, there won't be any notification telling you that Battery Care has been enabled for up to a week as it usually takes a week for the phone to detect and stick to the time you plug your phone in. This is absolutely normal and you should see a notification saying that Battery Care has been enabled after a minimum of 5 days of charging. The good news is that you CAN charge your phone during the day. This won't cause the battery care to reset as I think it knows when to actually activate itself.
Hope this helps!
