Hi. I have experiea xz premium. I have this phone for less than a year. The volume up botton hangs sometimes and I think due to that, the phone also hangs and restarts. Sometimes it just dies on me even if it's full of charge. It has been doing that for the last three months. Anyone can help with any advice.. I am still not sure if its software or hardware issue yet..

Since you have no idea what is causing it and if it is software or hardware, I would advice you to first test the volume up button in the Support app>Xperia Tests (bottom right)>Volume up button.
If no problem is detected try restarting the phone in safe mode and use it for a while to see if it is any third party app that is causing the issue, if the problem remains as last resort you can make a Software Repair with Xperia Companion (it will erase all your phone data). If even then the problem remains it's time to contact your Sony Local Support Team (here) to get your device looked at.

I already did all what you said long time ago..
I tried Sony support app. The botton sometimes worked and sometimes didn't.. I did factory data reset and erased everything and still the same.. I think that it's not software issue as no one had the same issue as mine before which leaves me with only option that it's the botton itself is busted..!
@Yasir_Alhaimus, you say you made a factory reset but please have in account that a software repair with Xperia Companion is different from a factory reset because a factory reset uses the phone software already existent, and a software repair with Xperia Companion uses a fresh clean installation of the latest software version for your phone.
Nevertheless if you suspect it is indeed an hardware issue the solution is contact the Local Sony Support Team to get your device hardware looked at.
