Side buttons not working

Picked my phone up and the side buttons are not working please help....

None at all? Doesn't sound too good.

As the side buttons won't work I assume the power button won't long press allowing testing in safe mode, so instead I'd unlock using fp scanner then back it up using Xperia companion, then using the same software, I'd perform a repair installation.

If the buttons still didn't work, I'd contact my local support for a possible repair.

Hi, I had the same problem with no working side buttons. Also after I connected Xperia Companion, the XZ2 compact wasn`t recognized by the Computer (Windows 10).

Solution: I deinstalled the Memory Card (Transcend SDXC Card Class U1)

Now my buttons are working fine.

My question to Sony/Moderators: did I use the wrong SD-Card, or did I make mistakes in formatting?
