Screen turns off after few seconds

Could you possibly elaborate your question a bit? For example, does this happen during a specific kind of use/in a specific app or does it happen randomly? Have you tried rebooting your phone in safe mode to see if the screen behaves differently there?

Hi Martin,

I got my phone back from servicing after a month .

when I turn on the screen, it does not matter what I do .

if my finger is not always moving on screen to read or do anything the screen shuts off and goes black. I can't leave the phone alone without it shutting down.

i have tried safe mode. Rebooting .

will be going over to a friends house to run the Companion as I don't have a computer handy.

any assistance will be appreciated.

i do have the screen time set for 5 minutes before it goes asleep . But I do t even get 5 seconds out of it if my finger is not always on screen.

Hi again @Ram9467 and thank you for the quick reply.

If said behaviour persists in safe mode, I do believe that the best thing to do is to try to repair the software on the phone using Xperia Companion and a computer. Keep in mind though that the software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so remember to do a backup before the repair in order to prevent data loss.
