So say from 5 small files only first one or two got copied:
Just got brand new phone Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact (model G8441) today. It has Android 8.0.0
Cannot transfer files from my Windows 7 PC:
1) follow the instruction
https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaxz1compact/faq/apps-&-settings/0231018801b0950b9013ff...
and choose "Transfer Files" there
For example, want to copy 5 small files (to internal storage or SD card - does not matter, same problem)
2) Starting to copy, but then on second or third file, my PC file manager does not show phone directories anymore and on the phone I see - again! - USB options menu where current mode is "charging".
If I choose "Transfer files" again, and start to copy files, same problem occurs again -
after few seconbds, in Windows file explorer I don't have phone internal storage directories anymore and phone presents me USB options selection menu where current option is "Charging"

Reboot did not help.
