My headset (BOSE) doesn't work with Xperia XZ Premium

Hi, I’m asking if someone has the same problem as me. I have a Bose SoundTrue II and I was using it every time until I buy an Xperia XZ Premium. My phone detects my headset when I connect it until I play music (for example). The music starts normally, but 2 seconds after, the headset disconnects automatically. My headset works fine on Xperia M5 Dual, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3Tablet, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia XA.

Can Sony give me an explanation ?

Thank's a lot for your reply.

I tried it in a safe mode. I also checked my sound settings. I downloaded smart connect app. I got the same problem in every case.

I forgot to mention that my standard Sony headset works very well.

I noticed that while I do a long press on the play button of my headset, the music goes on until I release the button.

I'm a little bit disappointed ...

I have the exact same issue. My Bose QC25 does not work at all with my XZp, although they work with every other device I own. Oh, and all my other headphones work with the XZp. If only Sony's SBH54 or the upcoming SBH56 was compatible with LDAC, I would've already got it. Actually, if I see a place that sells the 54, I would buy it regardless.

I have the same problem, I'm using QuietComfort 20, can't work with my Sony XZP, I tried to test on different SONY XZP, but the problem still the same, SONY store told me that it's probably the BOSE's problem, because SONY did not test against on BOSE headset, it's ridiculous, BOSE is not a small company! it works with SONY XZS, but not XZP, I returned the phone, and will buy other brand's instead. IMPO, it's a major critical defect....

could you take hold of the specifications for the headphones? I mean like the connectivity. what standard does it use,. CTIA OMTP etc...

also one more thing. if you can try to compare the 3.5mm port of the original headset from the xperia device you have and the headphones... you can upload pictures here.

also., if you could try to visit a sony service center or a showroom and try with another xperia device see if the headphones works as it should.

I have exactly the same issue with my Sennheiser Amperior headphones.....and any other headphones/handsfree I've tried that isn't made by Sony. My Z3 worked fine with any headphones but it appears Sony have changed something that only seems to support Sony headphones. Not happy. The only way around this is to use a third part app (Soundabout) to force the sound through the headphone jack connection.

Took me a while to figure out how to get my headphones to work.

Setting, apps, force stop music app, disable, restart phone, enable music app.

Enjoy.
