Is this normal XZ3 build quality?

Light coming thru between screen and body.

Is my new phone still dust and water resistant?

Should i take it back to store?

I came to this site to seek support from Sony and first support what i found was "ask from other users" so here i am.

There ARE gaps though, but i'm guessing they were intended

Due to production tolerances and different thermal expansion coefficients of the materials there will always be a gap, that's intended.

The XZ3's build quality -at least on my device- is top notch.

My phone has the gaps also. Despite this, it's waterproof. I usually take mine with me in the shower, wash it, and take underwater videos - i miss the touch block small app when recording underwater. Gets pretty hard to maintain the video rec on...
