Hi,

When receiving a new e-mail using the Outlook app on my Android 8.0 it generates a notification sound which plays twice. The second notification sound starts playing before the first one completes.

At first I contacted Microsoft. They ran some tests and came to the conclusion that it's related to Android 8.0 and their app. They do not seem to be able to fix it. Note that, when playing notifications as a test from the app itself it works just fine. The issue arrises when the notification is played while the app is not open and/or the phone's screen is off.

Could you look into this? Not very ground breaking, just very annoying. Thanks!

I have the same issue with the Twitter app. It started after the 8.0 update and is slowly driving me mad.

Hope this can get fixed in a future update.

Microsoft confirms that the problem is the Outlook-app and Android 8.

Why should Sony fix this problem?

@Dutchy007I've seen reports of the same bug affecting Pixel devices. I'm not sure if it's been fixed in Android 8.1, but I guess we'll have to wait for Google to fix it, and then for the fix trickle down to us.
