I guess 47.2.A.4.45 for XZ1 Compact is Android 9 Pie. Finally arrived on mine today. Question is... IS IT WORTH INSTALLING? Only there has been so much controversy over it. Even today - I'm hearing from people regretting they installed it. Any comments, from Sony,  or customers,  would be welcome. 🍀

Installed mine today. Adaptive brightness needs closing kept flashing up on device. Done factory reset😔. Everything is fine now. I know factory reset can be a pain for some. But is needed for an update like this I think. 

With the problems some people have had, I'd be reluctant as well. But so far so good👍😂

I installed Android 9 Pie yesterday evening on my XZ1 Compact. Used my own data from O2 package whilst charging. It took about 25 minutes. Í included a December 2018 security patch. Works fine. Best Regards  🍀

I also received January security patch - 47.2.A.6.30.

I installed 47.2.A.6.30 right after 47.2.A.4.45 and it rendered my NFC void. Since then NFC does not work at all. Do not install 47.2.A.6.30 (unless you're happy without NFC).
