Have had brand new phone purchased through retail store for 1 week and WIFI tethering does not work. Other devices can connect to the phone but cannot get access to internet. I have the latest updates and no other issues have popped up yet (have not tried usb tethering yet). I am running stock software.
Thanks I have tried using that feature as well as creating my own APN with settings from my carriers website and neither option works
Have you had the oppunity to speak to your network provider? Have they been able to offer any input?
Trying that as well, no luck so far but I have used all their suggested remedies and still nothing. Will have to contact them again.
Just to check, have you been able to try a different SIM card in the handset?
That is the plan for tonight when I get home. Thanks for the responses and the help guys.
Keep us posted. Let us know if any of that has helped. 
Tried with a diferent company SIM card and it worked OK. At the suggestion of Sony Support I used their software to completely reinstall the phone software and had no luck with my own SIM card. After further discussions with both my company and the alternate there is no reason why it should not work. Now have to decide what to do.

The SIM that isn't working isn't a Crazy Johns sim is it? Or Dodo?
